Interesting Things to see and do in Cheltenham:-
Cheltenham is of course a renowned Regency Spa
Town, and offers a host of colourful parks, floral displays and
festivals, not to mention a World famous Racecourse. Stylish shops
also abound and of course the Cotswold's lie just outside..
For rainy days (or when you want a slice of culture)
there is the Art Gallery in Clarence Street, not to mention the
Everyman Theatre, the Playhouse Theatre and of course the Bacon
Theatre which is Cheltenham's youngest venue presenting many professional
shows throughout the year including the finest quality live music,
ballet, drama and comedy. It also plays host to the annual open-air
theatre festival each summer at the idyllic Tuckwell Amphitheatre.
And if you are into architecture, then Cheltenham
is one of the few English towns in which traditional and contemporary
architecture complement each other. The Neo-Gothic styled Victorian
school buildings of Cheltenham College date from 1843 and Cheltenham
Ladies' College from 1873.
